Wow! I got first prize, twice!

This saturday the GW store in Stockholm was holding The Fang, wich was a miniature painting competition. I took place in three classes, single miniature 40k, Warhammer fantasy regiment and diorama. Today I found out that I got first prize in Warhammer fantasy regiment and diorama! I don´t know yet how my Big Mek for singel miniature 40k manage, I just know it didn´g got first prize, but who can complain, I got two! Today is surely a happy day!

Grey knights wip

It was a while since I posted some Grey knights, telling the truth I have working on some pieces for The Fang this week (not only, but among other things). This is what´s on my desk at the moment. The bases for the first five terminators are almost done, a final highligt on the stones and some static grass and they are of to go. But they also need some more details and I hope I have time to do that tonight. The Terminators in the back needs some more work. I redid them as I wasn´t pleased with the way the metal turned out. Well, I hope I will be pleased now. I will update tomorrow and tell you how it turned out.

Dryads, all eight!

Here is all eight Dryads that will be part of my entry for the Fang, Stockholm. Before I hand in my entry I will do a touch up on the eyes I think. and a few parts witch need a stronger highlight, still its pretty much the end result. I have decided to keep the bases like this, I think they work quite well with the Dryads.

And keep your eyes up for another basing tutorial.

Dryads, last wip and halfways there

I did some basing on the first four Dryads for the fang last night. I´m not sure about the bases yet, but I´ll wait and think it looks ok for now. The Dryads still needs a final touch and some smooting out to do, but since I lost a bit of inspiration in them I thought it was time to do some basing to see if I can get a hint of the final result.

Lunchtime painting

During naptime at home (the goblins naptime, not mine:P) I manage to finish of the armour for this Blood angels Terminator for Space Hulk.
Comparing to the first one, I actually used a different recipe for red, I think this looks far better, or what do you think? I might repaint the first one or just do some tuch up and make him a bit darker.

And I will go on a mission and learn how to take decent pictures even when it´s a fast WIP shoot.
