It have been a long time since my last post, life has been hectic and time for taking pictures of miniatures have been low. Painting on the other hand have taken a jump in the right direction, experimenting with some new way´s of painting and finding joy in pretty much every single miniature.
there is a lot of miniatures that is on there way to beeing finished but to take my mind of thing´s I have done some painting on Arjac, a Space Wolves character for Wh40k. This will be the first WIP shoot of him, but stay tuned for more pictures of some Wood elves, Salamanders and maybe even some Malifaux or Hell dorado miniatures!
Untill next time, happy painting!

Joy of painting is painting with a friend
This friday me and my dear friend Lars got togheter again for one of our painting sessions. As usual we painted a lot less that we had intended to to, but anyway it was a session of joy. We both started to build one Space wolf miniature that we should paint up later on. This night of peace followed by a suturday in Malifaux. We went to Uppsala about 1 hour away by bus to play a few games agains some new opponents.
That day was great, sometimes you get amazed by the friendly spirit of wargaming. We both will sure be back for more!
Here you see Lars all focus on his work, what a joy!

Cult of December
Since I will have one of my rare occations actually gaming this weekend I wanted to paint a new crew for Malifaux. I went for Rasputina and the cult of December. I didn´t spend more than 25-30h on the miniatures, and that´s including removing mouldlines, basing and so on. All in all I think that they turned out great and it will be fun to put them on the table this weekend.
I went for a rather limited palette, using the blue/turqouise color to bind them all together, it work´s for me at least.
And also a close up on Rasputina and the Ice golem. I glazed the Ice golem with toruqouise ink since the last pic, and I like the result. Seeing the picture I see that I was a bit cheap with some highlights, but it work´s for now.

A hard day´s night!
It's been a hard day's night
And I've been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night
I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you
I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright.
Well...sort of, last night was a night when I enjoyed painting more than I have done in the past few month´s. I started two miniatures and they where almost done in one evening! I sometimes find it hard to find the "flow" in painting once the kids are asleep, sure I can paint, but you know that inspiration who keep you up till 02-03 in the night, even thou you know that you have to be up in just a few hours. Last night that "flow" hit me like a train!
I started a Ice golem for Malifaux and a Space wolves terminator sergeant. Both have been around for a while and even thou I wanted to paint them both, I sometimes felt that they will never get painted. Last night I defeated myself!
First up is the Ice golem, sure I´ll probably do some more on that miniature tonight, but more or less it will be considerate ready for gaming.
Next is the Space wolves terminator sergeant, I´ll be painting some space wolves shortly and I wanted to see if I remembered how I painted the last once. Still WIP, but I think I´m on to something there.
No more waffle, I have coffe that wait´s for me and then it´s time for the playground with my son, today is a GREAT DAY!

Orks, incomming!
I have been painting a Deff dread and a Burna bommer in the Bad moons colors. Now they are done, or close to done (I might just do some fine detail work or so). the picturess show pretty much how they look´s, but I had a real stressful time taking the pictures. I take all my pictures using daylight and thet also means when it´s raining, no pictures. Today I did fins a few minutes when it wasn´t raing, that´s the stressful time. Anyway, on to the pictures!
Deff dread, the lower arms ar magnetized and all weapons in the box are painted up for him to use.
And then the Burna bommer (without the base that will be attached later on). The small bombs are also magnetized to help keeping track during a game.

Random WIP´s from my desk
Been a long time since my last post, but here is some random WIP´s. The kids have been ill for some day´s now so not as much hobbytime as I had planned. Hopefully that will turn around in a day or two.
First up is a WIP on a Deff dread that is part of a commission, it will also contain a Burna bommer. My planning say´s that these two will be done next week, and they will be done unless the sky falls down or something like that.
Next WIP to come is the base for Legolas who I will be painting after this commission.
When I finally get my camera out I snapped a picture of the diorama base. I haven´t painted anything on it for some time, but sometimes the projects need some time to "grow" and should be left alone for some time. I think this project is one of these.
I also got some basing material in the mail a few week´s ago so I built a base just to try it out a while ago. It took about 10 minutes of building time to get this look and about 20-30min of painting. But it still look´s great.
