Orks, incomming!

I have been painting a Deff dread and a Burna bommer in the Bad moons colors. Now they are done, or close to done (I might just do some fine detail work or so). the picturess show pretty much how they look´s, but I had a real stressful time taking the pictures. I take all my pictures using daylight and thet also means when it´s raining, no pictures. Today I did fins a few minutes when it wasn´t raing, that´s the stressful time. Anyway, on to the pictures!
Deff dread, the lower arms ar magnetized and all weapons in the box are painted up for him to use.

And then the Burna bommer (without the base that will be attached later on). The small bombs are also magnetized to help keeping track during a game.

Burna bommer and Malifaux WIP

I´m painting a Bad moon Burna bommer at the moment. Still an early WIP shoot but I still want to share it with you. Also a WIP on a Silent one for Malifaux, both these project will be done in the next few day´s. I´ll write some more about them then.

Burna bommer and Deff dread WIP1

I just started to build a Deff dread and a Burna bommer as a comission. They will go tot the same person who now has my Orks (I sold them, summer is comming, money is low...). When I first opened the box for the Ork flyer I realize that "Wow, this thing is huge!" and I must say...Orks will always gives me joy to paint. I have actually already started think about a new Ork army...but Evil sunz this time, who doesn´t love speed and huge vehicles with lot´s of dakka?
Besides from that, I´m ready to do the last tuch up on the Earth reborn miniatures I recently painted (also a comission) and now I´m currently waiting for some miniatures to drop in my mailbox so I can finish the diorama project.
But now, two small WIP pictures of the Burna bommers driver and the Deff dread.

Killa kans update

The three Killa kans are closing  in for the battelfield. There is a bit more of the "dirty buissnies" to do, that´s right it means pigments. I´ll pobably get some time tonight to finish thew off.

Killa kan 2 WIP 1

I started on the second Killa kan and it´s going quite well. I think it´s about time to start the dirty buisness about now.
The third Killa kan will be primed today and it will get some paint later. I planning to have all three Killa kans done during this week.

Bad Moon Killa kan

I have a challange with myself, paint a Killa kan in less then 8h. Why? Because I want to get all Orks painted sometimes before 2020...This is the first Killa kan after 6-7h of painting. Hope you will like it.

Ork kommandos done!

I manage to finsih the Ork kommandos before Easter, I might go over them later on and do some more work on there skin, but for now they are ready to hit the battlefield. I´ll try to take some better fotos after Easter since it is really windy outside today and hard to take good photos. Hope you will like them.

And a singel shoot on the Nob, details on the axe disapered in the background but I´ll take some new ones later.

Evil sunz nob

I think this Evil sunz nob will be considered done. I just might go back and do some more glyphs or something on him. It´s supposed to be a gaming piece, and for that I think it reached the TT+ level.

Soon there will be my next project who will involve some minis from Fury of Dracula, Mansion of Madness and I might even get some time to work on my Flesh tearers.

The Orks are coming!

I have almost finsihed the mob of 30 Orks, just some minor touch ups to do and some weathering on the nob. Anyway, hopefully they will do good on the battlefield.

The Evil sunz are almost done!

The Orks I´m currently painting is almost done, there will be 30 of them (including a nob) and they are painted in the colurs of the Evil sunz. Next thing to do is to get some more paint on the bases and after that it will be easier to see if ther is something left to do on the Orks.

Orks WIP 2

Some WIPs on the Orks I´m currently painting. As mention earlier ther are 30 of them so I´m not going to take individual pictures of every one, I´ll just do some random shoots.
Next to do is the boots, some bags, belts and some fine details, like teeths, nails and some glyps. Some minor weathering will be done and of course the bases. Hope you will like them, my goal is to have all of them ready during next week.

Orks update

It´s hard to see on the pic, but things are starting to happen on the Orks. All of them have their skin done, and all the brown parts. I have started to highligt the red areas and hopefully the red will be done in a day or two. Then all that is left is some touch ups on the metal, the boots and some battle damage. They will be ready soon, yes they will be reday soon!

Inspiration?

So, sad but true. a some time ago I lost all my will and inspiration to paint, just couldn´t get myself to pick up the brush. But, two days ago I forced myself and I think i´m starting to find the inspiration again. I´m working on a mob of 30 Orks as a comission and I did pretty much painting on 15 of them in just two days, if I can keep this up they will be done in about no time. Sorry for the pic, I haven´t got all the photo equipment at the moment.
Hopefully I will be able to post some better pics soon.

On tonight´s desk

There wasn´t much paint on my brushes tonight. I thought I should show you what I´m currently working on. It´s a Bad moon meganob for my Orks, a Necrotech, a Slayer and a burried marker (for the Helldiver) for my Cryx. Tonight was mostly about priming the models, and started on the base for the Necrotech and the Slayer. I also started to do the first layers of metal and yellow on the Meganob. Hopfully I will have something more intresting to show in a day or two.

Played my first game of Warmachine tonight

I played my first game of Warmachine tonight. I was using my Cryx against Cygnar. Since it was my first game of Warmachine we decided to play using a 15pts list. This is what I put on the table:

Warwitch Deneghra
1 Slayer
1 Deathripper
1 Nightwretcher
1 Helldiver
1 Stalker
1 Necrotech and Scrapthrall

The game itself turned out to be a lot of fun, it was rather easy to get the way the turns worked out and get an idea about the basics. But I guess it takes many, many battles to master the game. Of course my Cryx got beaten up, but who cares when the game turned out to be a real challage!
And who on earth will I fiund motivation to finish my Orks now? Maybe they are for sale...if you are intrested, drop me a mail with an offer and i might just take it.

Bringing out the Orks

A few days ago I manage to bring my Orks to town for a friendly game of Wh40k. It took place at Dragons Lair in Stockholm and I played with a fellow wargamer I meet at another forum. So this who was my test run with the Orks I would face the Tyranids! It was a hard battle swinging from side to side and after six turns od slaughter it ended in a draw. All to all I´m pretty happy how my orks performed, and now I will start to expand my army as I´m aiming for a playable 1750pts force.

two weeks of painting

I just signed up for a two week painting competiton in an swedish gaming forum. The rules are simple build a model in one week and paint it in two weeks. The model have to fit in a certain theme, and this theme was "stealth". So on thursday it´s time to start painting and build him a base. I will try to make som zenithal light on this model so I guess I will have a hard time, haven´t really done that before. But it will be fun!

Some projects

Right now I got several projects I want to paint, and it´s hard to decide what to do first and it means that I paint several different things at once. Ok, I get some variations in my painting but it takes forever to build a force of some kind (if you are a wargamer, that is). Anywa, enought rambling! Here are some things on workbench at the moment. I dont see any need for individual shoots at the moment since it´s only the basic colors on alla models except the shoota boy and the Árd boy who I just begun doing the weathering process on.

End of February

Ok, it´s the 28th of February and my painting challage is for this month is over. Ok, let´s face it, I failed horrible! I planned to paint a mob of Árd boyz, 1 Deffkopta, one Shoota boy and one Kannon for my Orks. So far only the Deffkopta is finished. Ok, I had less time to paint this month than I could guess, but this little? I guess thnat I´ll have to line up my leftovers from February for next month.

So my monthly painting challage for March should be like this:
10 Árd boyz
1 Shoota boy
1 Kannon

And...
some warmachine! I have some Cryx models who is longing for some paint!

Deffkopta

Last night I manage to finish my third Deffkopta. since I rushing to get my army ready for some action in a few weeks I only went for Tabeltop standard on this one (I´ll probably go over it some other time and do some extras). Anyway, Now I have 10 Àrd boyz and at least one killa kan left to do until the end of February. Let´s see if I can make it. Hope you will like my deffkopta.
