WIP Steampunk Jen Haley

A small update about the Steampunk Jen Haley miniature that I have started to paint. Now it´s about time I decide what´s my next step will be on this mini. I have very limited time to paint and I really want´s to say, well, I think she´s done now. And I ´m happy with the result!

That´s my intention. Will it ever happen?

I don´t know, but so far I´m happy with the result, not everything of course (but I guess I never will). I have some minor thing´s to do before deciding weather she will get some freehand stuff or not. Then of course is the base who need´s a bit of love.
On this mini I have very limited time, so say about 5h at the most. What can I do in just 5h? I guess we will have to wait and se where the muse caries me...

And another mini I started to paint a while ago, it´s a Sniper from MaxMini.

Chaos Renegede Militia first WIP

This post is all about a Chaos Renegede Militia command squad from Forge World that I got my hand´s on over six months ago. I figure that it was time for them to get some paint so I started. sometimes I just need´s to do one of this thing´s to get some pice of mind...

My first intention was to get all armourplates dirty and rusty, but then my eye´s fell on a old paintbottle from GW, the Hawk turqouise, now I´m not sure anymore what to do. If you have any idea about the rusty metal or the turqouise armour, drop me a line.

Now it´s time to get to the pictures!
The first Chaos renegedes first WIP and some primed bases.

A small sign of life

It was literally ages ago since I wrote something on this blog. Since I´ve done pretty much something at all to be true. Lack of inspiration and personal stuff had to take time and I can only hope that inspiration and peace of mind can continue from this point.

I took some time and finished some details on some old minis and even started something new. So, what do you say, enough talking and time to see some pictures?

First out is the Imperial palace guard bust from Forged monkey. I still have some small things I want to add and even redo the eye´s on the mini. But for now she will take a break in my cabinet.

Here is the limited edition Wood elves standard bearer for Warhammer fantasy, since last I have only added some markings on the flag. I think it look´s pretty good right now. the miniature was fun to paint, and since the miniature is a one cast piece in metal it is pretty heavy for a miniatuer of that scale.

Next up is some Warhammer Fantasy miniatures (well, not only miniatures from GW, but close enough).
First up is some Wardancer, almost done but I will add some tattos and fix some minor things before the got a nice coat of varnish.

And last of the Wood elves is the old character Skaw the Falconer, still WIP but the miniature will be done during this weekend.

Wood elves WIP

For quite some time I have planned to post some Wood elves pictures here, but somehow it alway´s slipped my mind on the rare updates on this blog. Today´it´s only one picture and it´s a Wood elves standard bearer. There are a few spot´s I want to work more on before moving on to the banner. The question is, what should be on the flag?

That´s all for now, more to come during this week.

Untill next time, happy painting!

Sunday update

When this weekend finaly came I had planned for a all weekend painting frenzy, the god´s of colors had other plans...I spent almost the entire weekend in bed with a cold from hell, could hardly stand up without the evil God of Darkness, Mr. Mouldline banged on my had with a hammer the size of a space shuttle... Still last night I could paint for an hour or so, not much but better then nothing. On the bright side, I did got a few new ideas, my mind might be clouded with fever so I have to wait and see how "good" the ideas are as soon as I get well again.

Needing some air I did a few photos of some of my projects.
First a Salamander dreadnoughts, I still need to do some touch up´s on the green, got a bad bottle of blue wash from Vallejo witch left a few whithe spots where there was blue when the was was wet. Anyone else got the same issues?

Now on to some fantasy stuff...first there is Ar- fienel who will be part of a Wood elves army. Still early WIP, but the quality of the mini is so great I have to show it anyway.

After Ar- fienel there will be a battle standard for the army, just primed at the moment.

And at last, something for myself. I started this mini a few weeks ago, but I havent paintied anything on him for a while (basicly it´s just two hours or so of painting and then he has been standing on my shelf for some time. Hopefully I will have the inspiration to finish him as sson as the Salamanders and Wood elves are done.

WIP pictures

I don´t have that much time nowday´s to sit by the computer and update this blog, but I will try to post a bit more often than once a month.

This time I want to share two WIP´s on two different projects. The fist is a Wareagle from CMON who will be a part of a Wood elves army for Warhammer fantasy. This "miniature" is huge! it´s one of the largest piecec I have ever painted. It´s not done yet, but the picture will give a fairly good picture about who it will loook in the end. Sure a few more highligts, and some detailing left who hopefully will bring the eagle to my vision, soon to be!

Next up is a Salamander dreadnought. Still early so not much to say about it. Soon to come some pictures of more Salamander space marines and a drop pod or two...

Untill next time, happy painting!

Long time no seen

It have been a long time since my last post, life has been hectic and time for taking pictures of miniatures have been low. Painting on the other hand have taken a jump in the right direction, experimenting with some new way´s of painting and finding joy in pretty much every single miniature.

there is a lot of miniatures that is on there way to beeing finished but to take my mind of thing´s I have done some painting on Arjac, a Space Wolves character for Wh40k. This will be the first WIP shoot of him, but stay tuned for more pictures of some Wood elves, Salamanders and maybe even some Malifaux or Hell dorado miniatures!

Untill next time, happy painting!

Burna bommer and Malifaux WIP

I´m painting a Bad moon Burna bommer at the moment. Still an early WIP shoot but I still want to share it with you. Also a WIP on a Silent one for Malifaux, both these project will be done in the next few day´s. I´ll write some more about them then.

Untill next time, happy painting!

Random WIP´s from my desk

Been a long time since my last post, but here is some random WIP´s. The kids have been ill for some day´s now so not as much hobbytime as I had planned. Hopefully that will turn around in a day or two.
First up is a WIP on a Deff dread that is part of a commission, it will also contain a Burna bommer. My planning say´s that these two will be done next week, and they will be done unless the sky falls down or something like that.

Next WIP to come is the base for Legolas who I will be painting after this commission.

When I finally get my camera out I snapped a picture of the diorama base. I haven´t painted anything on it for some time, but sometimes the projects need some time to "grow" and should be left alone for some time. I think this project is one of these.

I also got some basing material in the mail a few week´s ago so I built a base just to try it out a while ago. It took about 10 minutes of building time to get this look and about 20-30min of painting. But it still look´s great.

Untill next time, happy painting!

Burna bommer and Deff dread WIP1

I just started to build a Deff dread and a Burna bommer as a comission. They will go tot the same person who now has my Orks (I sold them, summer is comming, money is low...). When I first opened the box for the Ork flyer I realize that "Wow, this thing is huge!" and I must say...Orks will always gives me joy to paint. I have actually already started think about a new Ork army...but Evil sunz this time, who doesn´t love speed and huge vehicles with lot´s of dakka?
Besides from that, I´m ready to do the last tuch up on the Earth reborn miniatures I recently painted (also a comission) and now I´m currently waiting for some miniatures to drop in my mailbox so I can finish the diorama project.
But now, two small WIP pictures of the Burna bommers driver and the Deff dread.

Untill next time, happy painting!

Beastmen and a full picture of the fantasy project

Yesterday I showed a sneek previw of a fantasy project I just started. Today I thought that I´d show the whole base...as well as a early stage of a test mini of a Beastmen. Let´s see if these project will be done in a resonable time. I really like to do thing´s thats just for fun and not always to use in gaming, let´s see how these to thing will look after a few weeks.

Killa kan 2 WIP 1

I started on the second Killa kan and it´s going quite well. I think it´s about time to start the dirty buisness about now.
The third Killa kan will be primed today and it will get some paint later. I planning to have all three Killa kans done during this week.
Hope you will like it and C&C is always welcomed.

Untill next time, happy painting!

Earth reborn Mammoth MKII WIP

I´ve been painting on a Earth reborn set for a few nights. This is the Mammoth MKII´s first WIP. So far no more then 4h of painting have been done and with that in mind it´s still looks pretty good.

There is also some Wh40k Flesh tearers stuff as well as a small fantasy project coming up i a day or two.
Untill next time, happy painting!

Death company Dreadnought last update

This will be the last update on my Death company Dreadnought. I did some painting last night, not as much as I had planed, but at least something. Hopefully there will be at least one or two hours of painting time this evening. Stay tuned for more updates!

Until next time, happy painting!

Death company Dreadnought WIP 2

I was lucky to get about 2,5-3h of painting time yesterday and this is my progress on my Death company Dreadnought. My goal is still to have this mini ready by friday morning...let´s see if I can make it. I will get about 2-4h of painting time according to my calculations. Can it be done in time? Stay tuned...

Untill next time, happy painting!

New picture Chaos sorcerer and some WIPs

Today I thought that I would share some WIP´s on a few of my projects. But first is a new picture of the Chaos sorcerer (GW) that i posted some time ago.

'And some WH40k projects, first a WIP shoot on my Death companys with jump packs.

And I wanted to give them a Dreadnought as well, but I have always thougt that the Dreadnought´s looks to tiny and static. So I made him a bit bigger. Looks ok I think and hopefully it will look great once he get´s painted.

And at last...a WIP shoot of a Ice gaming from Malifaux. Still eraly in the progress, but if I´ll the find the "flow" I have a feeling that this one will be great.

 That´s all for now...
Untill next time, happy painting!

Death company WIP

I started to think more and more about having some Death companys with jump packs. So far so good, the minis very built and based pretty fast...then it stoped.
Anyway, long story short this is pretty much all that I have painted on them. I have cut of his arm with power sword more times that I can cunt (and that´s when I have already started to paint him) and tried many different arms and weapons. Somehow this is pretty much where I gave in, I don´t have the energy to tear of his arm any more so he will look like this even after I´ve done painting him.
Still a WIP, and more to come once I find the "flow" again.

Untill next time, happy painting!

Spring clean and looking forward

Today is the first of may and time to take a slight look backwards and then focusing on the future.
First a slight look forward. I cleaned my painting area today, it was so messy I could hardly find any place to put my minis or brushes. So with a "fresh" start, maybe the future gets brighter!

Last month I gave myself a paintingquest and had a pretty long list of minis that I had planed to paint.
Let´s take a look at that list.

Death Korps of Krieg deathraider on displaybase
Nurgle lord on displaybase
Pan on displaybase

Warmachine:
Cryx Slayer
Cryx Warwith Deneghra
Cryx Warwitch siren
Cryx Cankerworm
Cryx Wreckmarken (build from an old Deathripepr)
2 Cryx Stalker (only one is assembled and primed)
Deathripper, still in bare metall pieces

WH40k
A space wolves/tyranid diorama
5 Ork kommandos

Malifaux
Nicodem
Mortimer
3 Samuraj Punk zombies
3 Mindless zombies
Vulture
Grave spirit

So, what can I tell you about my quest, well it pretty much failed. But I did paint some of the minis on the list. What I have consider to be done.

Deneghra (only to a TT standard, but that´s ok with me, I really hate that mini...)
5 Ork kommandos and nob
Most of the Malifaux miniatures, all but the Grave spirit!

So with that in mind, what do I plan to paint during this month?
Wh40k
Space wolves/tyranid diorama
5 Deatch company marines
Deatch company Dreadnought

Fantasy
Nurgle lord on displaybase

Malifaux
Flesh construct
3st Necropunks

Warmachine
Slayer
Stalker

This might be a bit more realistic, some of the items on my last list is off this list even if they are not painted. Why?  Well, some items have been hanging around with just a little paint on them for over a year, I have a hard time trying to paint them. But I´ll try to find the feeling for them again and do a stroke of paint here and there with no pressure. Then they might get done sometimes;)

With that said it´s time for some WIP pictures. First out is the sergeant for my Death company.

And a very early WIP on the Flesh construct for Malifaux.

And at last (so I will cover three gaming systems) a WIP on a Warwitch siren for my Cryx.

Untill next time, happy painting!

Lemartes WIP 2

Did some more painting on Lemartes today, not sure I will have so much more time painting today but in that case he will be done tomorrow.

Another picture, sadly using a lightbulp as light so the colors aren´t 100%, but better pictures comes tomorrow.

Untill next time, happy painting!

Lemartes WIP 1

Since I have to many miniatures that needs to be painted (and constantly buying new ones) I have decided to paint a few of the "old ones" before I get to buy new ones. Last night I opened a blister pack contained Lemartes and started to build him and give him some paint. This is how he looks after a few hours of painting.

Untill next time, happy painting!
