A small sign of life

It was literally ages ago since I wrote something on this blog. Since I´ve done pretty much something at all to be true. Lack of inspiration and personal stuff had to take time and I can only hope that inspiration and peace of mind can continue from this point.

I took some time and finished some details on some old minis and even started something new. So, what do you say, enough talking and time to see some pictures?

First out is the Imperial palace guard bust from Forged monkey. I still have some small things I want to add and even redo the eye´s on the mini. But for now she will take a break in my cabinet.

Here is the limited edition Wood elves standard bearer for Warhammer fantasy, since last I have only added some markings on the flag. I think it look´s pretty good right now. the miniature was fun to paint, and since the miniature is a one cast piece in metal it is pretty heavy for a miniatuer of that scale.

Next up is some Warhammer Fantasy miniatures (well, not only miniatures from GW, but close enough).
First up is some Wardancer, almost done but I will add some tattos and fix some minor things before the got a nice coat of varnish.

And last of the Wood elves is the old character Skaw the Falconer, still WIP but the miniature will be done during this weekend.

Wood elves WIP

For quite some time I have planned to post some Wood elves pictures here, but somehow it alway´s slipped my mind on the rare updates on this blog. Today´it´s only one picture and it´s a Wood elves standard bearer. There are a few spot´s I want to work more on before moving on to the banner. The question is, what should be on the flag?

Sunday update

When this weekend finaly came I had planned for a all weekend painting frenzy, the god´s of colors had other plans...I spent almost the entire weekend in bed with a cold from hell, could hardly stand up without the evil God of Darkness, Mr. Mouldline banged on my had with a hammer the size of a space shuttle... Still last night I could paint for an hour or so, not much but better then nothing. On the bright side, I did got a few new ideas, my mind might be clouded with fever so I have to wait and see how "good" the ideas are as soon as I get well again.

Needing some air I did a few photos of some of my projects.
First a Salamander dreadnoughts, I still need to do some touch up´s on the green, got a bad bottle of blue wash from Vallejo witch left a few whithe spots where there was blue when the was was wet. Anyone else got the same issues?

 Now on to some fantasy stuff...first there is Ar- fienel who will be part of a Wood elves army. Still early WIP, but the quality of the mini is so great I have to show it anyway.

 After Ar- fienel there will be a battle standard for the army, just primed at the moment.

And at last,something for myself. I started this mini a few weeks ago, but I havent paintied anything on him for a while (basicly it´s just two hours or so of painting and then he has been standing on my shelf for some time. Hopefully I will have the inspiration to finish him as sson as the Salamanders and Wood elves are done.

WIP pictures

I don´t have that much time nowday´s to sit by the computer and update this blog, but I will try to post a bit more often than once a month.

This time I want to share two WIP´s on two different projects. The fist is a Wareagle from CMON who will be a part of a Wood elves army for Warhammer fantasy. This "miniature" is huge! it´s one of the largest piecec I have ever painted. It´s not done yet, but the picture will give a fairly good picture about who it will loook in the end. Sure a few more highligts, and some detailing left who hopefully will bring the eagle to my vision, soon to be!

 Next up is a Salamander dreadnought. Still early so not much to say about it. Soon to come some pictures of more Salamander space marines and a drop pod or two...

Armies on Parade, here I come!

Sometimes you really surprise yourself, I just did it! I finished my piece for Armies on Parade (two days before deadline!) I still thinking about adding some more poison ivy to the base, but it will do as it is right now. I just fellt lika a huge rock fell from my shoulders since this thing has been hanging over me for tha past three weeks. I know this is far from my best work, but at the moment I just wanted to say that something is finished and hand it in. Thisw piece is dedicated to mu fiancee Maria and my two beutifull children Noomi and Lion, without you nothing of this would ever have come to life! Thanks for putting up with me, I love you forever.

Taking pictuers of this beast is really hard, so for now you have to saddle for this shoot. I might do anotherone later.

Last night I started to do the undergrowth on my base, and when I ran out of superglue it looked like this.

Another Treekin is almost done

Since the deadline for Armies on parade is closing in, more and more minis are almost done (sadly not the displayboard who I haven´t done anything on for a while). This is the last WIP for my second Treekin, another one will hopefully reach the same stage by tomorrow.

Armies on parade WIP4 Treekin

In about 10 day´s it´s time for Armies on Parade in Stockholm. I hope to get my entry ready in time, but I think I´ll have to drop one level on the painting to get it done in time, well...if so, so be it! Here is my last WIP on the first Treekin.

Armies on Parade WIP 3

I haven´t had much time to paint the last few days/week but I´m pretty much finished with the bottom of my Displayboard for Armies on Parade. I also started to paint some Treekins that will take place on my board.

Armies on Parade WIP2

I have painted all the basic colors on the bottom of the base that will be on my display board. Tonight I assembled my Treeman and started to paint som Treekins. It´s a bad picture, but I will take a better one as soon as I have the option to take one in daylight.
