For quite some time I have planned to post some Wood elves pictures here, but somehow it alway´s slipped my mind on the rare updates on this blog. Today´it´s only one picture and it´s a Wood elves standard bearer. There are a few spot´s I want to work more on before moving on to the banner. The question is, what should be on the flag?
That´s all for now, more to come during this week.
Untill next time, happy painting!

The year 2013 and a small walk down memory lane
2012 was not a good year if you think about my post´s on this blog. Irregular and with long time between the post´s. Still I have a few readers checking in to see if there is something new. To you, thank you! You are the main reason for me to keep this blog instead of just leting it slowly die.
So what have been the up´s for me during 2012? Well, mainly two thing´s when it comes to minipainting. At first there was a miniature painting contest held by GW Stockholm called The Fang 2012. I ended up with placing among the top three in four category´s.
3:rd place, open category with my Nurgle Lord
3:rd place 40k veichle with my Death comapany dreadnought
2:nd place in Warhammer fantasy single miniature with my chaos sorcerer
1:st place in Duel with my Space woves/Tyranid piece.
Pic´s of my entries can be found HERE.
But the thing that has left me with most joy this year (minirelated, and also apliable in my every day) was a trip to Versailles, France for the Massive Voodoo painting class. I still think about that weekend with a smile, a big thank´s to all the wonderfull people I meet there! When I write those word´s it strikes me that I never posted the blog post about the MV painting class...maybe I´ll post the report from that weekend later (since most of it was writen, just never posted...silly me).
So, with a glimpse back at the past year minirelated, it have been both up´s and down´s. Lacking inspiration/motivation and with to much in the real world to deal with did it´s inpact´s on my painting. For a long time, I couldn´t paint at all. Now I feel like taking control of my life again and do the stuff I really want to do!
This lead´s me into another thing...from now on and for some time time I won´t accept any new commissions. I have a few project´s who is ongoing and to you, don´t worry, I´ll finish it! And I will dedicate almost all of my spare time to get those project´s done so you don´t have to waint any longer. You have been extremely patient. Wich I am thankfull for, it will also be seen on your miniatures.
With this said, I´m a bit relifed and also a bit sad but I must do what´s best for me and painting on the clock can be stressfull and take away the joy of painting.
As I end this first post of 2013 I won´t promise more and regular updates on this blog, but I will surely try!
Untill next time, happy painting!

Sunday update
When this weekend finaly came I had planned for a all weekend painting frenzy, the god´s of colors had other plans...I spent almost the entire weekend in bed with a cold from hell, could hardly stand up without the evil God of Darkness, Mr. Mouldline banged on my had with a hammer the size of a space shuttle... Still last night I could paint for an hour or so, not much but better then nothing. On the bright side, I did got a few new ideas, my mind might be clouded with fever so I have to wait and see how "good" the ideas are as soon as I get well again.
Needing some air I did a few photos of some of my projects.
First a Salamander dreadnoughts, I still need to do some touch up´s on the green, got a bad bottle of blue wash from Vallejo witch left a few whithe spots where there was blue when the was was wet. Anyone else got the same issues?
Now on to some fantasy stuff...first there is Ar- fienel who will be part of a Wood elves army. Still early WIP, but the quality of the mini is so great I have to show it anyway.
After Ar- fienel there will be a battle standard for the army, just primed at the moment.
And at last, something for myself. I started this mini a few weeks ago, but I havent paintied anything on him for a while (basicly it´s just two hours or so of painting and then he has been standing on my shelf for some time. Hopefully I will have the inspiration to finish him as sson as the Salamanders and Wood elves are done.

WIP pictures
I don´t have that much time nowday´s to sit by the computer and update this blog, but I will try to post a bit more often than once a month.
This time I want to share two WIP´s on two different projects. The fist is a Wareagle from CMON who will be a part of a Wood elves army for Warhammer fantasy. This "miniature" is huge! it´s one of the largest piecec I have ever painted. It´s not done yet, but the picture will give a fairly good picture about who it will loook in the end. Sure a few more highligts, and some detailing left who hopefully will bring the eagle to my vision, soon to be!
Next up is a Salamander dreadnought. Still early so not much to say about it. Soon to come some pictures of more Salamander space marines and a drop pod or two...

Dark angels Librarian
A few day´s ago I recived some Dark angels miniatures from the DV 40k box, a Librarian, Commander and the limited edition Chaplain. I started with the Librarian and it was a fun miniature to paint. All in all it took about 5h to reach this stage and I´m happy with the result. I still thinking about giving him some more OSL from his hand, but it will do for now. I might get back to him another time and also do some more battle damage. But it was a miniature to get me back at painting again and it did.
There will be another update in the next few day´s with some more miniatures.
Untill next time, happy painting!
