Lemartes WIP 2

Did some more painting on Lemartes today, not sure I will have so much more time painting today but in that case he will be done tomorrow.
Another picture, sadly using a lightbulp as light so the colors aren´t 100%, but better pictures comes tomorrow.

Untill next time, happy painting!

Lemartes WIP 1

Since I have to many miniatures that needs to be painted (and constantly buying new ones) I have decided to paint a few of the "old ones" before I get to buy new ones. Last night I opened a blister pack contained Lemartes and started to build him and give him some paint. This is how he looks after a few hours of painting.
Untill next time, happy painting!

Chaos sorcerer WIP

Last night I started to paint on a miniature that have been laying around for a few month´s. It´s a Chaos Sorcerer from GW. I think it was released when the Storm of magic hit the store. Since many of my miniatures get´s a rather dark look, I wanted to try something diffrent on this one (it can´t hurt you, right?)
Still a WIP, but I think it can be rather good when finished. I was hoping to be done with it tonight or something like that.
Untill next time, happy painting!

Diorama WIP

A while ago I got this crazy idea about doing a Tyranid/space wolves diorma. Well, not being sane a new project was born. Still a lot to do on both the base and the miniatures, I might even attach another Tyranid, we will see.

To glue the miniatures who were not finished unto an base that also wasn´t done can look quite follish, and it probably is! But I felt that I needed to do that to push myself to actually finish this project.

Still WIP, and not any fancy photos, but I just wanted to show you and maybe get some thought´s about it. Have anything to say, let me know!

Random WIP´s

I thought I would post some WIP pictures on some of my projects. This time it´s no Malifaux;) First out is a Space wolves terminator I´m doing as a part of a special project.
And what kind of Space wolves would leave the winter? Here is a WIP on his base... Front first.
And back.
And at last I got my first LotR miniature from GW yesterday, Aragorn. At first the mini looked ok, but at a closer examination, lack of details on his face! All other parts were about as I expected, but the face surprised me. Anyway, 2-2,5h later this is how he look. Still WIP, but I hope I can do something even if the face disapointed me.

Dr. Douglas McMourning

Last night I finished Dr. Douglas McMourning for Malifaux. This miniature was a test for me in many ways, it was the first time I have tried to paint bloodsplatter ona miniature using Tamiyas Clear red, and it was also the first time I tried to sculpt a base using greenstuff. Both of this things needs improvment, but with practise comes perfect.

Next to come is more Mindless zombies, Necropunks, a Grave spirit and a Flesh construct. And of course, in about a month the Games workshop annual painting competition in Scandinavia, the Fang is taking place. I will sure try to get at least one entry done for that. I even tries to compleate my Space wolves/tryanid diorama. time will tell!

Painting with a friend part 2

Last night it was time again for another painting session with my good friend Mr.L. As usual it was more about talking and hanging out than painting, but we had a blast with our miniatures, paints and brushes. I did finnish  a Malifaux Vulture for Nicodem and I also started to paint Dr. Douglas McMourning. but that´s not all, did some work on my Space wolves/tyranif project. Pics to come in a few days, an week or so.

Here is our workplace, we actully sat there untill 4 o´clock in the morning.
Mr. L is painting on Space marine captin from AoBR, soon to become a Blood angel.
The morning after, most of the minis packed away and two brave painters are waiting for some coffe.
Vulture for Malifaux.
And at last the WIP picture of Dr. Douglas McMourning also for Malifaux.

Nicodem starter box

The Nicodem starterbox is ready for gaming! It´s kind of hard to fell ready with one of these minis, because all the details in them. There is always more to paint! Hope you like them.
And...if anyone have some advices about taking pictures of more minis then just one, I´d like to know:)
Untill next time, happy painting!

Mortimer for malifaux

Last night I finished painting Mortimer for my Resurrectionist crew. So far Nicodems starter box is painted and one Mindless zombie. Still waiting for some paints are nicodems Vulture, a Grave spirit, two mindless zombies and three Necropunks. that should give me some miniatures to start with.
Here is the pic of Mortimer, I will probably try to take a phot of the enitre crew tomorrow.
I have not left 40k entirely, I have a Space wolves/tyranid diorama that will be done sometimes soon and a DKoK Deathraider coming up shortly, they just need that extra hour to be considered done.
Untill next time, happy painting!

Nurgle lord and some Malifaux

It was a long time ago I posted anything on the Nurgle lord/champion. Telling the truth that mini has been standing on my shelf for to long time and I kind of lost intrest in him. Today I cut out some plasticard to attach on his base. I started to paint these and I guess they need some more work, but it was a big step for me accepting that he will be done soon. I think I will give him about 1 h more some day. But for now he´s going back to the shelf.

I also brought a mindless zombie and Nicodem for my Malifaux crew to gaming standard. My goal there is to give my minis paint to gaming standard quick so I can bring them to the gaming table. I really hate to play with unpainted minis and in a strange way unpainted miniatures give me bad luck. I guss that´s the gaming gods telling me to paint more;)
I realize from the pic of the Mindless zombie that he looks rather messy out, that´s not really the case when holding the mini. But seeing this pic i might give him another 30minutes to make hime looks better.

And at last a WIP on Mortimer.
Untill next time, happy painting!

Malifaux update

I did some weathering on the Samurai punk zombies last night, and applied another glaze on there skin. Now they are in diffrent kinds of decay. Sadly the pic´s dont show that as much as I would have wanted it to. I´ll do some proper photos once the whole gang is done.
I also started on a Mindless zombie and did some more on Nicodem. Stay tuned for more updates in the next few days.

Ork kommandos done!

I manage to finsih the Ork kommandos before Easter, I might go over them later on and do some more work on there skin, but for now they are ready to hit the battlefield. I´ll try to take some better fotos after Easter since it is really windy outside today and hard to take good photos. Hope you will like them.
And a singel shoot on the Nob, details on the axe disapered in the background but I´ll take some new ones later.
Untill next time, happy painting!

Update on the Ork kommandos

The weathering proces has just begun and I built an displaytray for the kommandos. since the pictures was taken some more work has been done with all the Ork´s skin and abit of more general painting on the nob. My plan is to have this squad done untill tomorrow...don´t know if I´m going to make it but I will be away for some day´s and it would be nice to have them done by that time.

Quest for April?

I put togheter some of my project´s that have been waiting for to long time to be finished (and some other things to) and placed them on my painting desk. The quest for April has begun, to finish as much of this as posible (or rather all of them).

So a list of what to be painted.

Death Korps of Krieg deathraider on displaybase
Nurgle lord on displaybase
Pan on displaybase

Warmachine:
Cryx Slayer
Cryx Warwith Deneghra
Cryx Warwitch siren
Cryx Cankerworm
Cryx Wreckmarken (build from an old Deathripepr)
2 Cryx Stalker (only one is assembled and primed)
Deathripper, still in bare metall pieces

WH40k
A space wolves/tyranid diorama
5 Ork kommandos

Malifaux
Nicodem
Mortimer
3 Samuraj Punk zombies
3 Mindless zombies
Vulture
Grave spirit

As you can se there is alot of different miniatures to be painted and since I almost never just do one mini at the time (I rather paint on 5 or so at the moment) it will be a real challange to see if I can get any of them done;) Oh! I almost forgot, not seen in the pic, but there is also almost 2000pts of Blood angels/Space marines that will be my flesh tearers army....but most of them are still on sprues...
Maybe if I manage to do this, I can allow myself to open one of many, many minis still in boxes!

Ork kommando WIP

For the first time in over a year I have finished all my comissions and not taken any new projects. I had an idea that I should paint something only for myself...well, it is a bit odd not having anyone who had decided the looks on everything. I started to paint some Ork kommandos a while ago, today I got stuck in my painting with them, what to do? Well I have always liked the look of a squad standing on a small display area. One hour later so will my kommandos. I have layed all the primary colors on the base and now it´s time for the details. It will get some framing later on. This might give me the inspiration to finish my kommandos!
Untill next time, happy painting!

Ork kommando nob first WIP

the other day I primed and started to paint the Nob for the ork kommandos, I guess I did it because I kind of got stuck with the kommandos, wanting something that would raise the motivation again.
My goal is that the four kommandos will be done during this week and hopefully also the Nob.
I also got some second thought about my project I mentioned before that would have something to do with the Space wolves. I repositioned the minis last night and I think I came up with a better solution. Here is the way I plan it right now.
I will give it a few days before I make my final decision on that one.
Untill next time, happy painting!
